SSCR Rotors SSCR Cassettes HI-PANEX DrySorb E-Save DryStar

DrySorb™

Integrated desiccant dehumidification and vapor compression cooling technologies, utilizing SSCR rotors.

The most efficient way to produce the driest air. You won't find better performance.

DrySorb units are available as either EconoSorb™ or CoolSorb™ models. All units incorporate the Seibu Giken SSCR Ultra rotor and use the heat of rejection from the condenser coil as the reactivation energy. This greatly reduces the need for electric power to operate the dehumidifier while producing lower dew point air than typical vapor compression unitary products.

EconoSorb™ units utilize an independent air stream for the desiccant reactivation air. CoolSorb™ units use a single air stream for both reactivation and "process" air and can be used in difficult applications where outside air is not available for reactivation.

Designed for commercial building applications, especially for the pre-treatment of ventilation, these units deliver drier air then either enthalpy heat exchangers or commercially available unitary packages. With built-in cooling, treated air is delivered to the space, or return air plenum, at a much lower enthalpy value then the return air. The result? DrySorb products can effectively treat ventilation, or a portion of return air, to control the humidity within the building, and eliminate the outside air load on the building systems.

Applying a DrySorb unit to treat the ventilation air does not require any modification to the existing air-conditioning equipment for existing buildings. Including DrySorb units in new construction can result in more efficient performance of air-conditioning systems as the latent load of the ventilation air and the internal space can be treated by dehumidifier. This will result in greater humidity control and improved indoor air quality. DrySorb for dry buildings™
